Earthlands is the home of University of the Wild - it is a rural oasis located in Petersham, Massachusetts. Earthlands is located on over 330 acres of forest and meadow, in the heart of thousands of acres of protected land. This secluded land has various sacred sites and is rich in bio-diversity. For fifteen years, Earthlands has been a hub for people to explore practices of personal and planetary change.

The northeast bio-region has a strong network for environmental awareness and social justice work. Earthlands is a focal point for this movement, with hundreds of amazing teachers, healers, activists, farmers and more visiting every year.

Facilities

Earthlands main lodge is an off-grid site, with basic solar systems and propane appliances. We have a grid-tied office with phone and internet. A composting toilet system and solar shower complement the setup. We have many sacred sites on the land, including a Medicine Circle, Sweat Lodge, Sacred Fire Circle, and ancient Indian Caves.
We grow/wild-craft our own fruits & vegetables in season, including a mandala garden, a small perennial forest garden and field gardens.
